In the UK public sector, translation services typically require translators to be qualified and registered with a recognized professional body like the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) or the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), ensuring accuracy and adherence to ethical standards, particularly when dealing with sensitive documents or situations requiring legal interpretation; this is often mandated by the Equality Act 2010 to provide access to services for individuals who don’t speak English as their primary language.
Interpreters and linguists have specific public sector knowledge and experience, including local councils and the NHS, most of whom are also members of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI).
We understand how Government Works and we do have a special team of translators who handles these types of documents with such specific requirements.
We daily translate for the NHS, Home Office and others alike.
